About Our Products

A leather sporran strap will protect the fabric of your kilt from the wear and tear of a chain sporran belt. We've developed this strap to provide maximum comfort and flexibility as well as to allow it to be easy to put on and take off. Our easy to work trigger snaps attach to the D-rings on your sporran and they swivel to allow the sporran to move more easily while squatting, bending or walking. Made from the same leather as out kilt belts you have the option for a matching set in smooth leather or with the edge bead detailing.

Most items we sell are made to order. If lead time is a factor, please let us know and we will try to accommodate your needs.

Our Standard Sporran Strap is $36.00 for waist sizes sizes up to 44". Add $4 for larger sizes. * Add $2.00 per strap for the Edge Bead detailing. Sizing your sporran strap.

Reiver's Belt Line
Our Reiver's Line of sporran straps are similar to our Standard sporran straps except we've left the edges raw and the buckles are attached with metal rivets. Sporran Straps in this line are $27.00.

These fit our standard 2-1/2" belts (ask about other sizes). 1" wide. Available in standard leather colors with Black or Brass Button Snaps and Nickel or Brass Trigger snaps. These are the same easy-to-use, heavy duty trigger snaps used on our sporran straps. Add the edge bead (shown above - $2 / pr.) Custom sizes are available. Kilt belts sold separately.

Sizing Your Sporran Strap

I will use your kilted waist dimension to size your sporran strap. Measure around your waist with your kilt on, this is your kilted waist size. It doesn't have to be tight since the sporran strap is loose anyway, but you want it to be in line with where your kilt belt would be.

This may appear to be too small, but once you add in the several inches for your sporran you will have just about the right amount of "sag" to place the sporran where it will be comfortable. Any 'fine-tuning" can be achieved by using the buckle on the back of the strap.
